Birkl's is an old and trusted name in skiing and Conference gatherings. Today Birkls works much broader and arranges a variety of events at the requests of our customers. The skiing and Snowsports School is the foundation in the company but we presently offer a variety of other events as well. Our unique partnership with the Sami people of Tossåsens Village and their genuine way of living on the mountainside is just one example of the exiting experiences we can offer.
How it all started
Birkl's is an old and trusted name in skiing and Conference gatherings. The Snowsports School was established in Bydalen as early as 1936. Edmund Birkl arrived with wide knowledge and experience from St: Anton and Hannes Schneider Ski School in Austria. Amongst the students there showed to be many up and coming greats within Swedish downhill skiing such as Sigge Bergman and Olle Rimfors. Edmund married a Swedish woman from Jämtland, started a family and remained in Sweden and Bydalen. He stayed in touch with Austria and never abandoned their skiing traditions. Many customers over the years got to study with Edmund and learn how to grace the slopes with style and finesse.
Present day
Today Birkls works much broader and arranges a variety of events at the requests of our customers. The skiing and Snowsports School is the foundation in the company but we presently offer a variety of other events as well. Birkl’s strength is to accommodate for the smaller as well as larger arrangements. We are also known for making all guests feel at home no matter what style you prefer. The hospitality and above all the commitment is great. You are guaranteed to be tended and seen to, not just by us but also by the many different inhabitants of the wilderness!
Nowadays Birkl’s also works with activities and arrangements almost all year round. The wilderness is always the center of attention and different package plans and arrangements are available that cater to the wishes of our guests.
